Painted Post, NY — July 13, 2025 — The 8U Crystal City Rumble All-Star Tournament brought exciting youth baseball action to Painted Post, NY, as five talented teams battled over four days of pool play from July 9 through July 12. The competition set the stage for a thrilling single-elimination bracket on Sunday, July 13, where the Corning-Painted Post Little League (CPPLL) All-Stars ultimately claimed the championship crown.
Pool Play Sets the Stage
Each of the five teams played hard-fought games during pool play to determine seeding for the knockout round. Corning-Painted Post entered the elimination bracket with strong momentum, though not without a blemish, their lone loss of the tournament came at the hands of Horseheads.
Semifinals
In the semifinal round, CPPLL faced off once again against Hornell. The Corning-Painted Post squad delivered, showcasing sharp defense and timely hitting to knock Hornell out of the bracket and earn their place in the championship game.
Championship Glory
Corning-Painted Post carried their energy into the final, overpowering their opponent and sealing the tournament victory. Over the course of the weekend, the CPPLL All-Stars outscored their opponents by a combined margin of 66–34, a testament to their consistent offense and steady pitching.
